Instructions - Discover Your Core: The ValueVision Solo Adventure!
Ready to uncover the values that truly drive you? Dive into this exciting self-discovery journey with Strategenics' ValueVision cards!
The following instructions are for a single person game where you (or your team mate) develop a clear vision of your core values. By sharing and aligning your values with others, you'll gain a collective perspective that strengthens teamwork and drives purposeful actions.
What You'll Need:
- Your trusty ValueVision card deck
- A quiet space for reflection
- An open mind and a dash of self-awareness
Let the Value Voyage Begin!
- Set the Stage: Create three magical zones in front of you with three separate category cards:
- Not important to me: "Meh, Not My Thing"
- Important to me: "Yeah, It's Cool"
- Very important to me: "Wow, That's So Me!"
- The Quick-Fire Round:
- Shuffle that deck like a Vegas pro!
- Flip cards faster than a superhero costume change (3 seconds max per card)
- Trust your gut and sort each card into one of the three zones
- Place the card face-up in one of the three categories:
- “Not important to me”: If the value holds little or no significance to you.
- “Important to me”: If the value has some importance but is not one of your top priorities.
- “Very important to me”: If the value is of utmost importance to you.
- The Great Value Purge:
- Bid farewell to the "Not important to me" and "Important to me" piles - they're not your core crew
- The Elite Eight (or Ten):
- Gather your "Wow" Very important to me cards for round two
- Repeat the quick-fire sorting until you're left with about 10 superstar values
- Value Constellations:
- Spread your top values like a cosmic map
- Group them into patterns that resonate with your soul
- The Mirror Moment:
- Gaze upon your value constellation
- What story do these stars tell about you?
- How will they guide your life's journey?
- Your Value Narrative:
- Craft a mini-story or personal manifesto based on your core values
- How do these values shape your decisions, goals, and actions?
Remember: Your values are like a personal GPS - they'll keep you on track, but don't be afraid to recalculate as you grow and evolve!
Bonus Round: Team Up! Share your value constellations with teammates. Discover how your personal stars align to create an even brighter team galaxy!

What You Need:
- A bunch of fun people (the more, the merrier!)
- ValueVision card decks (one per player)
- Your imagination and quick thinking skills
How to Play:
1. The Character Reveal:
-
- Take turns picking a movie or TV character (real or fictional).
- Shout out your choice to the group!
2. Secret Value Selection:
-
- The turn-taker secretly chooses a ValueVision card that best represents their character.
- Everyone else picks a card they think matches the character's primary value.
- Place your cards face-down - no peeking!
3. The Big Reveal:
-
- On the count of three, flip those cards!
- Did you match the turn-taker's choice? Score points if you did!
4. Scoring:
-
- Match the turn-taker's card = 1 point
- Turn-taker gets 1 point for each correct guess
- No matches for the turn-taker? Zero points (ouch!)
Bonus Point Rule: If any player matches more cards with other players than the turn-taker does, the following happens:
-
- The turn-taker gets zero points for that round.
- All other players receive 1 point for each of their matches with other players' cards.
5. Keep the Fun Rolling:
-
- Play until everyone's had a turn (or two, or three...)
- Tally up those points and crown your Value Visionary!
Pro Tips:
-
- Pay attention to how others think about values - it's the key to victory!
- Sometimes, guessing what others might choose can be a winning strategy.
- Want to spice things up? Try using real people from your workplace (but keep it respectful and fun!)
Remember, ValueVision is all about exploring and understanding values. So dive in, have a blast, and may the best value-reader win!
