Our Mechatronics Developer, Tim, recently completed the Strategenics Internship Program and has joined our team part-time while he completes his final semester of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering degree at University of Queensland.

Tim has been carrying out a thesis project in conjunction with Strategenics, which has involved investigating the mechanical properties of parts produced through the Fused Deposition Modelling 3D Printing technique. This project has also seen him investigate strengthening mechanisms to improve the final properties of the produced parts.

Like all of us here at Strategenics, Tim is a problem solver. So when he noticed that the brackets on the laptop stations had a tendency to snap, he took initiative to print some replacements.

Check out his nifty solution!
